Ron may be feeling better, but he gave me his cold. Nice.
I went up 0.4 pounds this week, but I am okay. I feel thinner in spots. 
Same thing happened to my friend, then the next week she went down a couple.
Anyway, no walk yet, Emma was still sleeping and I feel like crap. I’ll settle her for breakfast and then see how far I can shuffle. Groceries later and then maybe pictures after I get batteries and hopefully a power cord for my camera. *sigh*
(Confidential to person on the phone from yesterday: Yes, I will remember to put on a bra before I go so as not to terrify the neighbours.)

Well, I’m feeling a bit better. Still sleeping alot though. I haven’t slept through the night since the weekend. I noticed at suppertime that I wasn’t in any rush to get out of bed because as long as I didn’t move, nothing hurt.
I am quite a ways ahead in the on-line course I am taking. Some of the exercises are going to take some time but I hope to have most everything done for it a month early, if possible.
It is possible there is going to be a strike at work by the janitorial and maintenance staff. If that does happen they estimate it will only take a week or so until they have to close the school for health reasons.
On the weekend I wrote an entry and forgot to post it.
Wow, it is october already. I think the weather has made it such a surprise. Some of the leaves are turning colour but we could keep them for another month. We have pretty well cleaned out the garden though. It was supposed to frost here earlier in the week, but it didn’t at our house. It’s one of the advantages of living so close to the river. Frost hit the inland areas a few weeks ago. I am going to be helping Carl put a new roof on his porch on the weekend. Steel roofing is so much fun to put on.

Went on a field trip yesterday to an apple farm. Yes, it was fab and I’d show you tons of pictures of leaves starting to turn, but alas, as soon as I turned on my camera, it sucked up the remaining power in the batteries. There’s a bigger story there.
Carol took some pictures though, and if that picture of Emma & Christina doesn’t make your teeth ache from cuteness, then nothing will.
I’ve been trying for more than a month to get a power adaptor for my camera, and didn’t want to wait for one ordered on-line. The only spot to get one here is Radio Shack, and every time I have gone in, they are gone, in the back and unpacked, on their way, or just sold out. The one time the sales guy got smart enough to suggest a regular one with an adaptor, I didn’t have the blasted camera with me. The thing is sucking up batteries like it is ravenous.
I have to go online and order some birthday presents for the kids. Sarah turns 13 on the 10th. Our wishlist is here. Hope the link works. (not so you can buy me stuff, so you can see the types of things that interest us.)
On my walk this morning, which I did *before* going on-line, I saw a crow, a chickadee up close on a tree and I think a finch. And the cops.
Walking to a dance remix CD is heck on the legs. I walked up past the stop sign, up to the second fire hydrant and back again, and it only took 35 minutes. I think it is almost 3 kms. It feels like my hips have dissapeared some. Weigh-in is tonight.
I love dancing and I miss it. I used to dance all the time, and I still think of some things in stereophonic technicolor like a music video. Hmm, I feel a class sign-up coming on.
Today my exciting plans include cleaning my bedroom, doing laundry, and possibly making more tomato sauce or English Tomato Ketchup from all the red globes still littered around my house. I have cupboards to clean out and meals to plan too.
