books

I have so many books on the go, I haven’t even listed them on the side. Actually, I started about five and haven’t finished any of them. I’d read about 150 pages, skim the rest and read the end.

And who told Jackie Collins she could actually write? GAH! I couldn’t care enough about the characters to skip to the end!

poor baby

Last night we *really* enjoyed the play. When I got home, however, I discovered that Emma missed me so much she made Ron get in the van and drive around to find me. Even got him to drive to my Mom’s house!

Needless to say, I have a LITTLE CLING-ON TODYA. (oops, she hit the caps lock.)gccgcg

(that’s from Emma) “Mommy, I yookin for you! I sad. I missed you.”

being a mom

Well I finally wrote a long chatty email to the mom who was feeling overwhelemd and out of control. What would you have said? I’d reproduce it here, but it’s rather.. oh I dunno.. too chatty or something. I’d have to articalize it or something to make it useful to the general public.

Also today my teeth hurt. It started yesterday, and I think it might be because I used a stronger toothpaste. Okay, it might be because I really need to go to the dentist too, but that’s not my point. :)

The snow is still here. Lisa had no power last night. I wonder if it’s back yet? I have the heat up but it’s so chilly in here anyway.

Tonight we’re supposed to go see a production of The Hobbit. Can’t wait!

and some pictures

I uploaded more in the gallery, so whenever I nuke the folder, it doesn’t make old blog entries screwy. Heh.

So here’s some from my craft sale. The pile I started with, what it looked like set up, and the pile I came home with.

Start here to look at our moth hatching.

And the view from my window in the changing seasons. A month ago, a couple of weeks ago, and this morning. Although it is coming down much harder now.

because they go “tick, tock, tick, tock”

Last night we went to Global, one of the local 2nd hand clothing stores. They hang stuff up real nice too. Anyway, this time of year they set out racks and racks of costumes and weird clothing for costumes. We found a tigger suit (homemade, no hood), a crocodile suit (commercial with hood), a sparkly disco dress, and a 50′s prom dress for just under $20.

There was a soft grey recent prom dress there that Sarah wanted to get, but my word, it was actually too small for her. The label said 4, but it must have been a 2. It would have looked gorgeous on her.

While Sarah tired it on, Emma decided to put on her crocodile suit. She even wore it to the next store, spreading happiness within, and all the way home, finally calling my mother on the phone to tell her. We had seen an expensive ($17.88) croc costume at the grocery store that Emma wanted, but I don’t want to pay full price. One night she even told us to get in the van, go to the store and buy it for her. I plan on picking up some cheap costumes to have around for dress up play. I think it is really important, since most kids don’t get the opportunity other than Halloween, and those that don’t do the season, don’t even seem to do dress up play at all.

All I need now is a Tickle Trunk to put them in. ;)
