So.

Here is sit, and all my children are in bed still sleeping, for that which I am glad. Especially the biggest one, since he’s been working hard all week. They don’t pay for travel time, and sometimes he’s gone all day, and gets paid for half the hours. Sucks. Then he stays up late doing his schoolwork. He’s looking for a new job.

In other news, our van runs wondefully and doesn’t sound like a Harley anymore. Even if our checking account is that much light at least the bulk of the bill was parts, not labour.

Especially when you add how many groceries we got yesterday. After I loaded it up in the van, I was getting in and said, “That better last all week, kids!” and the lady in the car next to me (who had been loading up as well) laughed and laughed and laughed.

Work? I have been scatter-brained all week. I keep hitting walls or waiting with this and that, then I distract myself with something else. (Like Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. I’m up to level 18. Yes, I’m really 14.)

I saw maybe 15 minutes of Survivor last night, and Ron came up to bed later while I was reading to tell me who won Canadian Idol (like we weren’t expecting that conclusion.)

In an odd coinky-dink, in the book I’m reading, (Angels & Demons, Dan Brown) I came across the part last night where they explain how electing a new Pope works. This morning when the alarm went off and the radio played for eons while I thumped Ron’s back sporadically, Pual Harvey was talking about way back when they first made the process to elect a new Pope. Spooky, I thought.

Oops. Someone’s hollering MOMMY!
