It was the usual Sunday dinner fare at my house, except I made meatloaf for a change. Sometimes the simplest things are the best.
Menu:
meatloaf
creamy mashed potatoes
canned peas
roasted parsnips
boiled carrots
gravy
I will completely skip over the part where my uncle was viciously attacked by a stuffed pig during an innocent game of Hot Potato.
For dessert, Meaghan made brownies, Sarah made caramels (pictures to follow) and my Mom brought by a marked-down cake. (What? You think she’d pay full price?) I made these (lemon squares, below) with lime juice. But just so you know, too much green food colouring makes it look like a St Pat’s Day experiment gone horribly wrong.
