Our sleep is so screwed up, I got out of bed after 10, Meaghan just got up, and Emma is still sleeping. Yes Mom, she is breathing. It’s like the day is half-done and I just got here.
Tonight will be interesting, not just because of the whole everyone-will-go-to-bed-late part, but the “Sarah’s having a friend overnight” part. Two 14 year old girls, with one 12 year old girl. That can’t be good.
And then? My mom is picking them up at 8:30 Friday morning and driving down to Moncton for a shopping trip. Oy.
I think we should start a pool. Please, leave your guesses for the following:
- what time tonight I’ll hit my giggle tolerance level.
- what time people finally shut up and go to sleep
- how late the girls will leave in the morning
- how many bags they collectively will bring home
- how early my mom will go to bed tomorrow night
Note to self: rent movies for later.

giggle tolerance:11:30pm
shut up/sleep time: 1:30-2:45am (one girl will pass out at 1:30 ,surely not the 12 year old though, and the other two will stay up later just to spite her)
how late girls will leave-grandma is a serious shopper, so 8am no matter what
bags-9
grandma going to bed: 8pm
Good luck!
We made the mistake one time, of telling my step daughter that she and her friend could stay up as late as they want (They were 7…how long could they possibly stay up, right?)
WRONGO
We were woken up by giggling at 3:00 AM. I went in to check it out and they had been up all night playing barbies.
I agree with Kim’s predictions.
hehe
