In which our heroine makes a futile attempt to appease the masses…

Oh man, we are all sick. Well, all us girls are. And not really sick, like completely knocked out sick. Just sick enough to have horribly runny noses, slightly fuzzy heads, and a vague sense of we could be doing more around here, if only our body would let us, you know, move.

Also some of us get extremely upset at the feel of uncontrollable boogers trying to escape, cry out over it frequently, and sniff enough to cause a serious post-nasal drip into the stomach that causes enough coughing fits to induce puking.

At 3 am.

Yeah, running in to see Emma three different times was really fun. Weren’t we over the sleepless nights? I don’t think I’ve consistantly slept through the night in over seven years. Even then I think it lasted about six months.

Addison has been sick all week, but he still went to work. Unfortunately for him, he’s had the 6AM shift each working day.

Ron didn’t have classes yesterday, and it was too bleh out to paint the porch, so we threw our massive to-do lists out the window and took off to the North Shore to a large antique fair. Plus long country drive. We even got to see the Belledune power plant. (oooooooooo) Didn’t glow green though. Ate in Bathurst and stumbled around my pitiful French. Emma tried to speak Spanish to the waitress. Confusion all around, but good pizza.

I’ve made another pot of tomato suace, but my cucumbers may be beyond redemption. I kinda forgot about them.

And let’s end on a funny, shall we? The following is a list from Addison (who may never see it because he thinks the blog is “boring”) and the kinds of things he gets asked at work, with all the answers being NO.

“Can you serve me in French?”
“Can I get a coffee? Like Tim Horton’s?”
“Can I have Pepsi?”
“Can I get a Whopper?”

Can I take a photo of the Poutine Trio on your menu board?

I have always wanted to order a veggie burget with bacon, myself just to see the reaction.

Hope you guys are feeling better soon!

Awww. I hope you feel well soon. Those are the wordt kinds of colds….when you wish you’d get slammed hard enough that you could stay in bed guiltlessly or just get over it!

Anyway, good idea to take off from the chores!

My apologies – I had a wicked nasty cold and I think I may have sneezed Eastward a few times so my germs may have hit you. ;)

  5. Todd Tyrtle says:

Sherry/Andrea – Just keep sneezing towards the rising sun. We don’t need your cold over here in Toronto. *knock wood* This has been the longest we’ve gone without being sick in quite some time.

  6. Andrea says:

Oh, I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Yeah Sherry, it’s all your fault.

I have some cucumbers that are soon going to be beyond redemption if I don’t soon do something with them. Sorry you guys have been sick, hope those boogers have stopped bothering you by now. lol. I’ll be back. Love your style!
