Blogging resuming soon

Fall allergens are in the air, plus cool nights, so I woke up sneezing my head off. It ain’t pretty and it sure is a far cry from ladylike. I have, however, updated my scrawled-in-a-notebook list of things to blog. (There’s eight items with one crossed off, if you’re counting along at home.)

Top of the heap is yesterday’s Sunday Dinner, when my wonderful Aunt Wanda came to visit with Uncle @&$@&%@& Andrew. Heh. Days like that I wish for a live video feed.

Also – if you have dinner mid-afternoon, what do you call it? Lunner? Lupper? Din-upper?

Meanwhile, I think I will declare leftovers for lunch.

This is what happens when your kids think for themselves

Now that I’m playing catch-up on all the work I’ve neglected, I ressurected a long-forgotten household rule.

Saturday lunchtime the kids can plan it. They can also cook and serve it.

“Whoo ho!” I said to myself and Ron, “Mama gets to type through lunch!”

Approximately two minutes after this proclamation, Sarah announces to the household.

“IT’S MAKE YOUR OWN SANDWICH DAY!”

because I could take pictures of flowers all day

There’s three new floral banners. :)
- two stargazer lillies that were in my garden
- Meagan’s wildflowers
- sunflowers WITH bee

eta: And I took off a few of the more summery ones.

(Warning: Mom has Emma out at yard sales, so I’m playing catch-up.)

ETA again:You can see all headers in this directory.

Back to school plans

Just for “fun”

Gas prices here got up to $1.30 a liter, which is US $4.16/gallon. Forgot my camera when I was out.

Keeping tabs

Yesterday I spent far too much time watching New Orleans web-cams, CNN video reports, and reading blogs from people who are *there*.

http://mgno.com/">Like this guy.

Almost debilitating, reading about what’s really going on. Hard to blog the funny and fluffy. Post ideas for here and my other site are backing up, and so is life.

But as much as things seemed to bottom out yesterday, I think they are slowly going back up. I’ll snap out of it, people will recover. Because that’s what the human spirit is like, right? Too much bad going on, too many stupid people opening their mouths.

Today I’m going to see the good.
