Homeschooljournal Dot Net is officially open
That special project Ron and I have been working on is now well enough to announce to the world. (still have some tiny issues, but still…)
Homeschooljournal.net is a site for homeschoolers to sign up for their own free blog and to network and support one another. If you’ve ever thought of starting a blog to journal your homeschooling adventures, now is a great time to start. I wrote an article about the benefits of blogging in an article for Home Education Magazine, seen here. Even if you are thinking of moving off your current blog host, we’re here to help.
Some of the features it has are:
- extensive theme choices, and your sidebar changes are kept when you switch themes
- archiving by category (tags)
- multiple authors on a blog (although they must have a blog there too)
- extensive comment moderation choices, including blacklists to keep out spam
- adding whatever features you want by turning plugins on and off
- import posts from your old blog
- LIVE help from REAL people
And many more in the works.
Our site is open to ALL homeschoolers, regardless of beliefs, methods or hair color. 
We’re not selling anything, and there are NO ADS. We’re just doing this to help other homeschoolers.
Feel free to tell all your friends and link to it madly. Don’t forget to stop by and visit our member blogs. (There’s a list on the left side of our main site page.) They love getting comments as much as I do.

Hey, Andrea, just wondering. Can we use any of your skins over at the hsjournal.net site? I really enjoy the tulip one, actually they’re all awesome! Some of the WP themes available are just, well, lame, lol! I know you’re working on that, but you have such good ones — would it be a lot of work to make them available over there?
Oh, and someday you’ll have to change the links in your blogroll for all of us who have joined you, lol!!!
