For some unexplicable and unplanned reason, I find myself completely alone this afternoon. Addison is working, Emma is with her grandmother and the girls went to the mall.

Yes I did. All the floors downstairs are now clean and slightly wet. I have officially lost it.
No, that sounds about right. And for once, your floors will STAY clean, all afternoon!
Mine are leaving tonight – for 9 days. Nine days! Alone! The first thing I’ll do in the morning is clean the house. And it will stay clean! For NINE DAYS!
I thought maybe you had a nap.
Sadly, it only lasted about a half hour and people were home again. Sigh.
I can only dream of a nap.
But I did get a bit of writing done.

Dontcha just love being a grown-up?! No, I don’t think the floors would have been my first choice. Actually, maybe that would depend upon how long it had been since I’d done them last. But at least it was YOUR floors you were doing, and you didn’t HAVE to do them… I’m sure that the rest of your time was much more relaxing though, knowing that you had floorage cleanness.
Writing is good. I’ve been too busy being a grown-up (or lazy), rather than writing. I looked at your house photos, lovely home you have. I just LOVE old houses, and colorful rooms. We know all about scraping up those plasticy, nasty old floor tiles, and all the papery stuff under them… at least you’ve salvageable hardwood floors under yours though! WHY would people cover them anyways?! *sheesh*

Well, I tend to do that too. Seems I can only relax after things are sparkly. Even one sparkly thing will let me have some reading time.
I dunno…I’m pretty sure my activities would have included a box of ice cream and a spoon.
I have never lost it… nope. Never. Mostly cuz I never HAD it to lose. haha
