this is different

I’m coming at you live, from Centreville at the apartment. Ron has his computer finally all set up and running quite nicely with Gentoo. I’ve spent a bit of time already setting up my profile, adding bookmarks and best of all – creating an “away” email address and forwarding my mail here so I don’t have to login to 3 places to read my mail. It all comes ot me here now, whatever address you use (except for the two people who still use the nbnet address – I can’t get there from here, use the other one. )

Also, when we got the computer, we didn’t get a monitor because, like any good computer geeks, we had some kicking around. So the old one is here, but OH how I miss our huge flatscreen at home. Everything seems so … squished. (Update: I had to change it to 800 by 600 just so I could *see* without squinting. No, I am not old nor do I need a new prescription…:P )

And the mouse. It’s a regular mouse and I just realized how much I love the trackball. But it does have a cool light. And the keyboard is different. You have no idea how long it took me to proofread and correct this post. (and I bet I still missed something. Sigh.)

Anyway, more adventures to be had soon I am sure. first mission of the day is to get milk and white sugar, as I had black tea with brown sugar when I got up. And I’m still nursing it.
