that’s yellow all right

yellow kitchen

Progress, baby. Boy are my arms tired. Stuff is everywhere, still have to clean. Looks a whole pile better. Two coats of primer, and one coat of yellow. one more coat of yellow to go, and the other two walls to do, but what a difference.

Turns out the ceiling is not painted white and really dingy. It’s painted a really dingy off-white. It’s a few watts brighter in there now – can’t wait to see it with white ceilings and trim.

And they spent all that money on track lighting, and the recessed pot lights, and the hanging lamp…

Mom and I brainstormed, and we’re going for blue as an accent color, for a kind of French Country feel. She gets to make the curtains.

Gonzo had two beloved Lands’ End baby blankets. One was blue, one was yellow (named Blue and Yellow). They had to be rolled together just so. Blue and yellow will always remind me of his childhood.

Looks great! Coincidentally, we will be painting our kitchen yellow also. You have great taste :)

Hey, cool – recessed pot lights. I wonder how well they work for growing… things? Heh. Couldn’t resist.
