Line Rider

Our family has spent an inordinate amount of time this weekend (in between repair jobs) playing with Line Rider. Draw lines across the screen, click play and a little man on a sled drops down to slide along your lines.

It’s more fun when he crashes and falls off the sled. Any hysterical whoops from the dining room caused other family members to come running in to see what they did. Emma got him to do the splits somehow, and once they broke the sled.

To see what you could eventually be capable of, check out this video someone made. They got him going for a full two minutes, and he lands in a helicopter at the end. AWESOME.

Lest you think it is too much fun, kids (and grownups) have to think about geometry and physics to get the results they wish for.

I’m not very good at that. . . but I’m leaving it open for the boys.

I knew I shouldn’t have shown it to you guys. My whole class was into it for like 2 weeks. In fact I still play it for ten minutes almost everyday.

Oh, my goodness, Moira’s been playing with it for over an hour now (after I messed with it for 30 min or so myself)!
