Well, kinda. I have been around the province unexpectedly this week, and I’ll get to that later, once plans are finalized and things are processed. Ron came home on Tuesday night, then on Wednesday, we went almost full circle around the province – from Moncton to Fredericton to Woodstock to his apartment, the “hotel”, for the rest f the week.
Friday afternoon it started snowing and we all wanted to go home. It was very… interesting. After 2.5 hours of driving what would normally be 1.5 hours, we got a motel room. The only room they had big enough for us all was the Honeymoon Suite, but we got a deal and had a party, snuggled up inside from the howling wind and snow.
I am still amazed that even in a king-sized bed, a small child can take up more room than both her parents.
Saturday was bright and sunny, so we headed home, only to find we couldn’t get in our driveway.
Ron fixed that, but we woke up this morning to even more snow. I’m not sure where we can put it all. Peple can already walk by my kitchen windows and look in through the top half. Sure is pretty though.
Lovely pics. It has been snowing here for over a week and we haven’t gotten any accumulation to speak of. It’ll soon be thawed and the crocus’ will be poking through the last bits of snow. Frankly, I can’t wait, if only because i want to see the sun.
That storm passed through here on its way. Started with mix of snow and ice pellets which was VERY heavy to shovel. Then later in the day a reasonable accumulation of wet snow. So I had to shovel again. Yesterday morning I was wondering why my shoulders were so stiff and sore. And then later in the day, I developed a headache as a by-product of that shoulder stiffness. A hot shower (on massage setting) and some ibuprofen seem to have dealt with it, but why did Mat choose this week to be away?
Glad to hear from you – I was wondering if you were feeling icky again. That snow – wow! Spring’s not that far away.
[...] If you read Andrea’s blog you may recall that 5 weeks ago she told you about her trip to the hospital and 3 weeks ago I went home in the middle of the week to do a whirl wind tour of the province. We went to see an oncologist. Next Friday she has more surgery. And, for a while after that she will be recuperating again. I’m going to leave it for her to fill you in on the rest. It has been a challenging winter. As you might guess, I’ve been thinking about life’s challenges and may get to sharing some of those in the next week or two. [...]
