Wow, Ron and I sure are feeling the lvoe today.
It’s also our wedding anniversary, and we’re together, which is better than last year. I found the perfect meme for today, all the fault of lapaz farm, where I first saw it earlier this week.
1. Where/How did you meet?
NBCC Saint John. College, in other words. He was in 2nd year, I was in 1st year of Computer Programming. Betcha didn’t know I was semi-edjumacated. ![]()
2. How long have you known each other? Since then. ![]()
3. How long after you met did you start dating? An embarassingly short time.
4. How long did you date before you were engaged? An embarassingly short time.
5. How long was your engagement? Uh…. a year I think.
6. How long have you been married? See the title? 17 years so far.
7. What is your anniversary? Today, March 23rd.
8. How many people came to your wedding reception? None, we eloped.
9. What kind of cake did you serve? None.
10. Where was your wedding? The Fredericton courthouse.
11. What did you serve for your meal? Well, after we did the legal paperwork (if you’re wondering about the “before God’ part, God is everywhere AFAIC) we went back to our apartment and I threw together some sort of meal. Probably mac n’ cheese.
12. How many people were in your wedding party? 4 – us and two witnesses
13. Are you still friends with them all? Not really, although Ron has talked to Robin in the past year.
14. Did your spouse cry during the ceremony? I don’t think so. He may have teared up a speck.
15. Most special moment of your wedding day? I won’t say. ![]()
16. Any funny moments? Yes. When the judge started reading his stuff, I realized I had gum in my mouth and no pockets, so I took it out and held it in my hand behind me. Robin, our witness, was behind me and thought I was handing her something, so she TOOK it. Then I spent the rest of it trying not to burst into giggles.
17. Any big disasters? Not a one.
18. Where did you go on your honeymoon? Keddy’s Moter Inn, Saint John – the next evening.
19. How long were you gone? Overnight.
20. If you were to do your wedding over, what would you change? I’d do it sooner. Still at the courthouse, but almost a year sooner. Like the June before.
21. What side of the bed do you sleep on?: My side.
When looking at the bed, the right, near the wall.
22. What size is your bed? Queen. It was double until we had Emma.
23. Greatest strength as a couple? Working together.
24. Greatest challenge as a couple? Working together. ![]()
25. Who literally pays the bills? It usually works out half and half. I was going to say me, but he constantly reminds me to do it.
26. What is your song? Any sappy song on the radio, but we have been known to sing Unforgettable by Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole to each other in front of other people.
27. What did you dance your first dance to? We didn’t.
28. Describe your wedding dress: It was white and I re-used my grad dress. it is a spectacualr example of the eighties with puffy shoulders, a fitted waist, pegged calf-length skirt, and a ruffle down the back seam. It also had a deep V back. I think there’s a pic in Flick somewhere.
29. What kind of flowers did you have at your wedding? Uh.. *thinks hard* Ron surprised me with a corsage, I think it was a peach-pink rose.
30. Are your wedding bands engraved? Nope, they’re white gold skinny ones. Ron lost his, but it doesn’t matter. I’m engraved on his heart.
31. How old were you when you got married? 19, almost 20. No, it’s not too young, When you know, you know.

Happy Anniversary!!!!Wishing you many, many more years of wedded bliss.

Also, please tell Ron I’d send him more comment love like I do you if he’d stop turning off his comments so often. I understand why he needs to occasionally though.
Happy anniversary! It’s good to hear you can be together today. I love your answer for #30.
I’m not big on memes, but I just might do this one.
OOOps, I see from Ron’s blog that you already did that marriage calculator. Probably where I got it from in the first place. Ha.
Happy Day to both of you! Kevin and I have a March anniversary, too – we’ll be celebrating 12 years next week. And I agree – when you know, you know.
Happy anniversary. Glad you are together today especially given the other stuff going on. You’ve got all the right attitude for this one to go on and on.
Yeah – when you know, you KNOW!
Have a great day together!
Happy Anniversary! May you have many more great years together.
Cool website!
Happy belated anniversary! You’re such a great couple.
Happy Happy Happy Anniversary!! Now stop reading this and get to smoochin’!
Congratulations on 17 years! We’re a few weeks away from our 15th ourselves which seems so crazy. I remember thinking my parents were so *old* when they hit their 15th. Interesting, too, reading your answers – so many of those were very similar to ours.
