I did these because Ron did, and I thought it would be funny to see how our answers differed.
1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times.
- anything by Pixar and most Christmas movies.
2. Name a movie that you’ve seen multiple times in the theater.
- Uh….. I don’t think there’s any.
3. Name an actor who would make you more inclined to see a movie.
- in addition to the people Ron mentioned, Angelina (duh), Sandra Bullock, Drew Barrymore, Bruce Willis, Steve Bushemi, Peirce Brosnan
4. Name an actor who would make you less likely to see a movie.
- Tom Cruise, Mel Gibson, for sure.
5. Name a movie that you can quote from.
- Grease, any Disney film
6. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs.
- Grease, Sound of Music, any Disney film
7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with.
- Grease, Sound of Music, any Disney film, any music playing in the background. (Is anyone sensing a pattern?) It annoys Emma greatly if I sing along.
8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see.
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (for adults)
- The original muppet movie for everyone in general
- Life is Beautiful
9. Name a movie that you own.
- Just one? Ocean’s Twelve. Mr & Mrs Smith. Okay, that’s two.
10. Name an actor who launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops.
- Well, I’m not gonna mention Madonna, as much as I lurve her.
Hmm… I can’t think of one, although I know I thought this recently about someone.
11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in?
- Multiple times but not since the 80’s. They’ve become pretty scarce here.
12. Ever made out in a movie?
- Yeah, during the boring parts
13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven’t gotten around to it.
- Anything still on New Release at Roger’s Video.
(Marie Antoinette is just one.)
14. Ever walked out of a movie?
- No, I paid, I’m staying. I’ve usually researched it beforehand to avoid this.
15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater.
- hmph. Can’t think of one.
16. Popcorn?
- Xlarge please.
17. How often do you go to the movies (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)?
- Maybe once a year or every two years, slightly more than Ron.
18. What’s the last movie you saw in the theater?
- I had to think, but it was Over The Hedge with Emma and friends.
19. What’s your favorite/preferred genre of movie?
- action adventure with an undercurrent of romantic comedy. Mr & Mrs Smith fit that perfectly.
20. What’s the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?
- Star Wars (yes, the original)
21. What movie do you wish you had never seen?
- The Grudge (the original Japanese one.) Or maybe Seven. *shivers*
22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed?
- Everything is Illuminated
23. What is the scariest movie you’ve seen?
- The Grudge (the original Japanese one.) Way scarier than any slasher I’ve seen. I prefer thrillers for scares. Although not much lately because life is scary enough, and only when Ron is not around because he doesn’t watch them, so nothing *too* scary.
24. What is the funniest movie you’ve seen?
- Road Race, Napolean Dynamite, A Christmas Story … I’m kinda drawing a blank. I know we saw some in the past couple years that left us all in *tears*.
Anyway. We like movies. A LOT. We tend to rent them or watch them on tv. We actually own less than you might think – and then, most of them are animated. It’s rare Ron & I like a movie enough to watch it more than a couple times, but the ones we like enough to buy – we really like.
He didn’t mention he got Entrapment for his birthday.
I keep putting “Everything is Illuminated” on my Netflix queue and then taking it off again – just not sure about it. I’ll have to put it back on, now.
[...] Ron and Andrea did this, so I had to join in. [...]
I remember a movie you cried at. You must have been about 5 years old. When a character on the screen kicked a dog, you screamed out, “Is he dead???” Then you started sobbing, which led to other children crying. I think that was the last movie I took you to.
