I’ve been getting new emails this week with subjects like “you’ve recieved a postcard from a neighbour!” or a friend or whatever.
DON’T CLICK THE LINK. No, I did not. Yes, of *course* it’s a virus. Snopes (as always) has the scoop.
And I am still surprised at the number of people who will click on links in emails when they have no idea who it’s from. I got TWO phishing emails yesterday at an email I rarely give out, from a “bank” I don’t use. Well, DUH, I’m not going to their site to update my details. And you shouldn’t either.
There’s my good deed for the day.
I just started getting those too. “You’ve received an ecard from a school friend!” was a dead giveaway that it wasn’t anyone we knew but I can see how someone might not think anything of it and click through. But it amazes me that people continue to fall for the bank scams.
this one also sows up as an e-card from hallmark as well. the link when hovered over brings you to a music store in the uk with a card.exe on the end.
