Ron came home for lunch today so we could have the car, and on the short ten-minute drive back to his office, the sky opened up and dumped a deluge of water. I mean, it was like we just came out under a bridge. We literally drove into a wall of water. It poured so much, fields were running mud rivers, water was flowing on hills and cars were pulling over. We went 60 on a 90km/hr zone because we *had* to, it was that bad.
(Uh, that’s 35 in a 60 zone, I think… I looked at the speedometer just for Heidi because I knew she’d leave a comment with the conversion.)
Ron dropped us off right outside the library doors and we still got soaked. By the time we were done picking out stacks and stacks of books, everything was dripping and the sun had come out. it was blue skies and white fluffy clouds, when a mere 20-30 minutes before it was quite the storm.
Of course I didn’t have my camera. We’d seen at least two photo ops before the rain hit, one of which was the heavy massive clouds hanging pregnant in the sky, sheets of grey rain visible from a distance.
I love my camera. It just doesn’t fit in my purse because it’s so huge. (the camera – the purse is tiny.)
Edit: On the way to pick up Ron from work, I remembered the camera. Partly because I had less to carry. Even though the afternoon was sunny, it was raining again on our way home at suppertime. I took some shots here. It even hailed and we had to pull over. I got video, but it’s not online yet. (yes, I AM a weather geek.)

Big camera, tiny purse – I have that problem too.
Well, thank you, dear, for saving the math for me. I don’t want to try the American chicken conversion.
I have a little camera I can wear around my waist like a holster. I’d be a quick shot if the camera didn’t take 15 seconds to power up.
