The gold bedroom that is.
Ron made the stained glass window insert, Carl did the window frame. We replaced the ceiling material and scraped the original trim on the ceiling, we replasted and repaired the walls, ripped out the closet the previous owners put in this alcove, and refinished the floors.
I’d say it was totally worth it. You can click here to see the whole set, or just look at what we started with.

Oh, we went and saw it Saturday evening. The window is just gorgeous, Andrea! I mean, the whole house is, really. You’ll have no problem selling.
That looks really great. I can see how the lack of closet space is an issue in older houses and I’ve used alcoves for that purpose myself. But why cover up such an interesting window (or any window, come to think of it)? You’ve done a beautiful job. I hope you get a good price for this house and lots of folks. How are you planning to proceed?
Wow, that is a sophisticated look. I would like to have such a bedroom window. tell Ron he is not just handy but talented.
I love that color!! I’m going to have to email you for the name of it (besides gold of course. lol).
Now how am I suppose to answer your question when you’ve already gone and let the girl turn her hair pink? Huh????
She looks so cute!!!
