I spent most of yesterday being sick. I was so sick, I actually took some Buckley’s. I didn’t die, but it seemed like a good alternative.
Ron and Sarah went over to the old house to check on it and stuff, so it was just me, Meaghan and Emma here. We laid around and did nothing. Oh, I read a book. My clean laundry pile is horrible. It is going to take a large chunk of the day to fold it and put it all away.
Why is it that I have such great ideas when I am too sick to actually do any work? And when I’m feeling better, I probably push forward too much and fall back to being sick-ish again.
On top of that, we have two birthdays coming up.
There’s probably a half-dozen people I should call.
I know there’s a good dozen people I should email.
I’ve also got three other websties I’m trying to launch. This being sick is a serious damper to them all. I did manage to get one site up and running finally. WPMU Tutorials – it’s a tutorial site explaining how to use WordPressMU, which is the software that drives wordpress.com and homeschooljournal.net (plus many other sites out there). In short, it’s a buch of techy computer stuff.
(Note: it is not quite the same as the WordPress that runs *this* blog. It’s a slightly different version of the software to run multiple blogs.)
On the plus side, it has been distracting me from the swelly belly of hysto recovery. I discovered that almost all feeling is back and it is not quite as sore as it has been. I know, you totally needed to read that. When people say it takes about a full year to recover, they are not kidding.
Ron even updated his blog, so you should check that out too.
I need more tea.
My feeling had just returned in the area of my c-section scar from Jonathan’s birth when I had Josiah. That was two years later! And since Josiah was a repeat c-section, I went all numb and tingly again, and this time it didn’t all come back. There are still a couple of areas along the scar that don’t have a lot of sensation. A year after I had Josiah, I had my gall bladder removed. It does take your body a long time to recover from surgery – and you’ve had significant parts of your insides taken out. Give yourself lots of time and don’t feel guilty about resting, ‘kay?
Sorry your still sick! That’s nasty to have it so long. About the laundry, my neighbor came on Friday and folded for nearly THREE HOURS!!! That’s embarrassing. Hope you get it done, but if not, don’t be hard on yourself. And don’t over-do it!!!
We were sick last week too, well the kids were, but we were forced to slow down a bit. I say go with it. If there is no place between too much stuff to do and not enough, not enough will have to suffice for healing!
I hope you’re feeling better!
