I wrote a chapter in the Mobil Travel Guide Nascar Travel Planner, 2005. Search Amazon. It's there. I wrote about Infineon Raceway in Sonoma. It was a very large sized joke here in the house for a LONG time because while my husband is a fan, I am not. My children loved to quiz me: Who drives number 5, mom?? Because guess what? I had NO freaking idea. Last weekend (Daytona! WooHoo!) I told my family that the races are just about an hour too long for me to listen to - that motor noise drives me batty, and after a couple hours I'm climbing the walls. Really. Why do they need sound anyway? It's just a bunch of cars going in a circle! For what it's worth a friend of mine also wrote not too long ago about NASCAR (Always capped!) and she knew little when she started.
