In the CA foothils (where my garden is missing me, I'm sure) folks swear by a Mother's Day planting - anything before that and you risk replanting because of frost. 'Course, I'm the anxious sort and always push it - and occasionally have to replant. That is beautiful!

Around here it is the 24th of May long weekend. And down where you are I bet it is even later... Your photos are great. And I notice that you have white cabinets in the kitchen. This is a good thing. With some new paint on the wall (and ceiling), I bet the kitchen will be much nicer even if you aren't going to fix the crown molding for a while. Still, I find myself wondering how long all of the snowbanks are going to stick around even after it gets warm. At the moment I feel as if we'll be seeing snowbanks until sometime in August.
