I thought of this story today and finally remembered to blog it. Back when Ron was ill (January? February?) and we were in the ER, I overheard a couple of nurses talking about the two doctors on call that day.
Nurse #1: You know they call themselves The Asian Dream Team?
Nurse #2: They do? That’s funny!
Nurse #1: Yeah, I know! So …. where’s Dr X* from anyway?
Nurse #2: Dr X? He’s from Toronto.
Nurse #1: No, I mean before that…
Nurse #2: (like she finally gets it) Oh! (pause) He’s from Minnesota.
(* not the guy’s real name. I forget. But it was Asian.)
