The other night, I clicked around the tv and sporadically watch Night of the Living Dead. It was pretty hysterical. Then the next night (or so) I had tv access again and wound up watching almost all of I Am Legend. That was pretty good, not really scary.
But then? Then the next morning, in the foggy half-light of dawn, I was awakened by gunshots. And my first thought was to make sure the zombies could not get in the house.
I hate adrenalin rushes before caffeination.
(Note: the gunshots were from some hunter, presumably near the lake because it echoed very well, who seemed like he had trouble hitting the broad side of a barn.)

I own a copy. It’s the best survival book out there, with really practical information. Seriously, if you took out the zombie element it would read like a layman’s military survival guide. Zombies make it a captivating read.
Also, Shaun of the Dead is my favourite zombie movie.

When I used to play Doom and Quake a lot back in high school, I would have a ton of weird dreams where I was the character in the games. Instead of running away from monsters in my dreams, I would have all these powerful weapons to shoot them back with. I’m sure a dream interpreter will have something interesting to say about this, but it sure was fun.
@Mama Podkayne: Shaun of the Dead is awesome, possibly better than Mr. Bean. *gasp*

You hit on something key here, Zombies are all around us. They seem to be the cultural equivalent to chicken these days, omnipresent and suitable for just about any metaphor, comparison, or fleshy meal

That’s hilarious. I have to tell George about this later, he’s a big zombie freak who has had occasional nightmares after watching too many of those movies, so I know he’ll appreciate the humor in this.
And yes, I must agree with the others who mentioned Shaun of the Dead. I *loved* that movie so much.
