And sleek & red too

I’m a Chevrolet Corvette!

You’re a classic - powerful, athletic, and competitive. You’re all about winning the race and getting the job done. While you have a practical everyday side, you get wild when anyone pushes your pedal. You hate to lose, but you hardly ever do.

Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.

This is really funny because my first car was a Chevrolet Cavalier that I drove into the ground. (Literally. We eventually had it towed from the front yard.)

A quiz to keep my homeschooling status

I took the Overachieving Homeschooler’s Quiz and got a 24, which means:

Not even close! Your fellow homeschoolers adore you. We all need to know that, at the end of the day, we could have done a lot worse.

Heh. So feel good about yourselves. I do! :D

(p.s. - that was a really funny quiz.)

If it was any faster, it would be barely readable

46 words

Learn Touch Typing

I went for accuracy.

Edit: Dang, I pasted code in the wrong place. Sigh.

And I tried to figure out how the questions were weighted as I took it.

97% Geek

Busy day, busy night last night. More to coem as I play catch-up. (and I got up early, too)

And we are barreling towards the holidays

You Are Socks!

Cozy and warm… but easily lost.
You make a good puppet.

Heh. We have a lot of Christmas stories involving socks.

blue tea meme

Darn it! Meg tagged me with a new meme making the rounds. She got it from Jo and I’m betting they ganged up up on my on purpose.

I mostly forgot to do it till now.

Blue Tea For Five and Me(me)

And it started by a lady who has a blog called Blue Tea. (what a devilishly good idea to get people linking to your blog. ;) )

According to the original poster, the rules for this meme are: “Devise a list of 5-10 courses you would take to fix your life. It’s more fun to be in classes with friends, so include one class from the person who tagged you that you’d also like to take. Tag five.”

Well, I don’t think my life needs to be “fixed” per se, but courses are neat to fill in the gaps. I also don’t think I’d actually really take any of these unless a whole pile of my life was different. Maybe when I’m down to one kid in the house, if I still am interested. Also, I figure if the interest was strong enough, I’d do what I could to learn it on my own anyway.

From Meg’s list, I’ll pick :
1. Voice lessons. Just because. I think I sing passably well, but it’d be nice to be formally instructed.

And the rest:
2. Graphic design. I love creating graphics on the computer, but there’s only so much I can figure out on my own. Mostly I would take this to get a cheap copy of Photoshop with the college’s educational license.

3. Advanced cake decorating. I’ve got the basics down pat, methinks.

4. Piano lessons. For the fourth time. Yes, I am still ticked I cannot sit down and play whatever I want. My musician father must be so disappointed. (That was a joke.)

5. Scuba diving. Never been. And it’s one of the few things that I really would not want to try first without some sort of instruction. It would also have to be in some warm tropical area with crystal clear water. The waters here are murky and have icky bad scary fish in them. *shivers* Of course, this is assuming I get over my fear of swimming in ocean waters over my head… (i.e: the fear of having my toes nibbled by creatures I can’t see…)

6. PHP programming. There had to be a computer geek course in there somewhere. Although right now, I figure if I had a good book on the subject, I’d use it as a reference and go from there.

7. Bookbinding. I don’t know if it’s just because I haven’t sat down and tried to follow instructions or what, but I think a class would be more fun.

8. Patternmaking & Design. I’ve done it, I can do it, but I need some guru to stand over me and let me in on the half-a-dozen secrets that have escaped me.
I had better stop there, as now I am thinking of things I haven’t tried yet but would like to, and all the things I could have tried but didn’t.

If you want it, consider yourself tagged.

(note for my mom: This is a fantasy list, not a Christmas gift ideas list. :P )
