They are calling this the worst storm of the decade.  The blizzard caused white outs, the police were asking people to stay off the roads, the buses were canceled, the ambulances were grounded.
I spent the day baking bread, hamburg buns and pumpkin pies.  I invited our friends over for supper, until they realized they could not get out of their driveway nor could they get into ours.  It is 8:30 p.m., it has been snowing for the past 14 hours.  The winds have died down a bit, so my dear husband and snow blower buddy are attempting to clear our yard. Note the snow drifts, they are 5 feet over my husband’s head. He clocks in at just under 6 feet.
But spring is less than a month away………………..

Wow! It looks like you’re getting the kind of snow we got in Montreal last winter!
I’m in Nova Scotia so I’m not getting the snow you guys are getting but darn it, I am sooo tired of winter this year. For us there’s not so much snow but there is a treacherous sheet of ice over everything that just will not go away.
I sat at home and couldn’t believe that it was still snowing. My car is parked by an incline so the snow drift that formed at the bottom completely covered it!
Dawn, we were “blessed” with 63 cm of snow on Monday and apparently there is more of a mess coming this weekend.
