A brand new look

The chair originally belonged to my DH’s parents.  If I remember correctly it was a wedding gift.   Many years ago it was re-upholstered in a vivid green and orange tapestry.   In order to tame it down, Carl and I tried our hands at upholstering, covering it with a blue and white paisley print.  I like it because the legs are short, (like mine) and the back is tall.

Over the years the kitties have used it to sharpened more than one of their claws.

It has been in the corner of our dining room since we bought the house 11 years ago.  It is where I sit after family meals are consumed and we are lingering at the table catching up with each other’s lives.  Early each morning it is where I sit and drink my tea before heading off to the gym.

It has held babies and kitties, visitors, and families and extra guests squeezed up to the table.

Now it has a brand new look.   I think Tom, the upholsterer did a wonderful job.  Don’t you agree?

It look so awesome I forgot what it used to look like.

I’ve been looking for a “before” picture. Remember big blue paisley flowers on a white background with cat scratches up the sides and the stuffing falling out. No more wonder I didn’t take a picture.

    Very nice.
