When i wondered aloud whether the pending rain showers would postpone the fireworks, Andrea looked at me and exclaimed.

“Mom, they have been drinking beer all afternoon, and they have explosives.”

“Trust me, there will be fireworks.”

Oh, and yesterday, when she mentioned that she wanted us to enter the truck into the local parade for Canada Day…………..she wasn’t kidding about that either.
