Living on the edge
I’ve spent the last two nights rolling a huge pile of selvage into neat little rolls. Inspired by this beautiful quilt, I plan to make a “bookcase” quilt for my daughter using the writing on the selvage as the books’ titles.  Plan 2 is a string quilt using the colour blocks of the selvage, similar to this beauty.
This evening while chatting with my Dad by telephone, I wrapped a tiny elastic around each roll to keep it from unraveling. Sitting next to the kitty in front of the fire, sorting, wrapping, piling, chatting …………life is good.
Update on Dad. He has been home from the hospital for the past week. His physician is surprised the Crohn’s developed so late in Dad’s life. With my family’s medical oddities, we aren’t surprised. Dad has gained back 8 pounds and is eating well thanks to the numerous medications he now takes.
For now I’m just happy rolling along……………………ummm life on the “edge”……….gotta love it.

I vote for the bookcase quilt. Glad to hear your dad is gaining some of his weight back.
