October block

The October cottage swap block arrived today and what a treat! Absolutely no tricks!

Not only is the block adorable, Toni sent a card, and Hallowe’en sticks all wrapped in pumpkin paper.   She wrote on her blog, The Quilting Pirate, each block is just a little different.  What a talented lady!

I admire anyone who can wrap a gift with style.  My Nanny would slowly unwrap each gift she received, saying, “Most people spend as much time choosing the wrapping paper as they do picking the gift. ”

On a good day, my idea of a perfect wrapping job, is the bag from the store where I bought the present.    My friend J is a bit more generous, she uses the store bag and tapes a toonie ($2.00) to it.  She figures she would have spent that much in wrapping paper.

Here are the blocks to date:

Dianne like you I totally hate to wrap. And cards forget it. I agree Toni did a lovely job.
