On the road again

For someone who prefers to stay home, this has been a very busy two weeks.  Last week it was a two day conference in Tracadie.  Two days ago,  I attended  a meeting in Fredericton. My  DH and I took the opportunity to take my grandson Addison, his wife Katylyn adnd grand-daughter Sara out to dinner.  What a great evening.

The next day we drove down the Saint John river trail to our property in Hatfields Point visting an antique shop in Cambridge Narrows along the way.

Luckily I have a brother who house sits our poor hard done by kitty while we are running the roads.

Tonight we are at my daughter’s and son-in-laws’ in Lakeville with the grand-daughters.   Ron and Andrea are stranded in the Bangor airport waiting for the storm to pass, so they can continue on their way to the WP conference in New York.

Our weather has been above seasonable, dry and sunny. Perfect weather for globe trotting across the province.

So far today we have watched movies, played card games, sang silly songs and made up long winding stories about Clarence the  Clogger McClary, his wife Claire who cooks muffins the army uses as ammo and their pet goat.

I found a few minutes to work on a quilted christmas hanger for Andrea (which I started last year and completed made a mess of). Hopefully I’ll have time to cut blocks for Christmas quilts.

Tomorrow we are shopping for Christmas pyjamas.   A weekend with the grandchildren, nothing is better.
