It is beginning to look a bit like Christmas

Outside it was minus 12 but inside the house was warm and toasty.  We spent a quiet day at home, with friends visiting for brunch.  The main course could not have been any easier, and very tasty.  A crust-less quiche is always a hit.  A tossed salad and a pot of home made soup from my friend J completed the meal.

I also baked gluten free bread from a mix.  Although the texture was not what I expected, the taste was very good.  Gluten free or whole wheat, nothing warms the house like the smell of baked bread.

My DH spent the rest of the afternoon putting up the indoor Christmas lights.  Our home has 22 windows.  I find a simple candelabra looks best.  What do you think?

Dianne your home looks nostalgic and beautiful. Is this the same one you were trying to sell?

Yes Betsy, it is the one we tried to sell this summer. I am very happy that we are having another Christmas in our home, I will certainly miss it when we do sell.
