Hot, hot, hot

For the past four days the temperatures have reached 30 degrees plus in the Miramichi.   The lowest temperature at 5:00 a.m. was 20 degrees. For two days we had the dubious distinction of being the hottest place in Canada.  It’s too hot to blog, eat or even read.

The air conditioning in our office is not working.  They should have it fixed by December.  Same thing every year, some day they might equate fix the air conditioner with summer’s coming.

But I can’t complain.  Imagine if in this heat you had a job like……………………a porta-potty cleaner……….or a garbage collector………..or a roofer.

Can you think of any other jobs that would suck in weather like this?

The guys who came and installed our new fixed wireless internet?

High noon, had to get up on our black metal roof.

  2. OH baby let me tell you…flagging (you know directing traffic for road construction), cooking at a take out, planting trees …did all of them and although call centers are tedious, nitpicking hell holes I wore a sweater all week.

Anything that involves touching sweaty people.

Construction workers. Most of the sites here in Fredericton were either deserted or full of guys who looked like they were about to fall over.

  5. Trust me, commercial kitchens are NOT fun in this kind of weather, either!
