Comments – Dorothy this one is for you.

I love reading comments, not just on my blog but on other blogs  and Facebook as well.  There is always something to learn about the person leaving the comment.  For example, Addison (my grandson) left this response to my entry “to warm the cockles of your heart” -

I’d like to take credit for their brilliance but I honestly have no idea what I’m doing. Earlier this week Izzy pointed to the word “our” and said “Dat’s our”. She then pointed at the word “baby” and said “Dat’s Baby. Dat says “our baby” daddy!”

So the next day I bought her one of those overpriced crayola easels you see everywhere and a giant pad of paper to go with it. I thought it would be a good resource for her; boy was I right- within 15 minutes she went from scribbling all over it to drawing faces over and over and over again until we made her go to bed.

See how much you can learn from a comment left on a blog site.

My friend Dorothy left this comment on Facebook as she did not know how to comment on my blog.

I’d leave a comment however I dont know how. LOL I would have liked to have done a blog when all the issues hit me last year. Most of which have been lost to me in a haze of chemotheraphy now. LOL

So Dorothy, to leave a comment on this blog, go the One Mother of a Blog on the internet, scroll to the bottom of the entry and you will see Leave a comment.  You will not see this section if you are reading the entry via Facebook or Google reader.sunset at the Point

Thank You Dianne, I learned something today: “how to post a comment on a Blog” — yours.
I have been inspired and impressed by the way you capture pondered moments and turn them into written snapshots in time — your Blog. Just like a journal, it is a great way to look back on various moments in time through which you travelled to arrive at today.
As a habitual journal keeper myself since the early ’70s, I have at times toyed with the notion of a blog of my own. It is the next logical step, is it not? It might seem so. Tecnology appears to have developed for just such a purpose in the lives of those who wish to write. However, I invaribly come to my senses each time, realizing my writings are not of a nature for a general audiance. It is an enigma.., why would I write it if I don’t care for people to read it? I suppose it comes down to my thoughts being my own, written or otherwise; I wish to keep most of them just that way.
Besides, I tried using the keyboard to write, (my typing is good at 50-wpm) and always return to pen and paper. It just feels more natural for me to write that way.
After all that, I can honestly say I have no idea as to why I expressed this comment in writing on your Blog.
All I truly know is that life can be a hoot if you let it. And that is exactly the way I like it.
Keep up your blog. Count me among those who enjoy reading it.
