I lived in Saint John, New Brunswick for 43 years. The best little city in the east, will always be home for me. Today my daughter and her family are visiting my parents and her father and aunt in Saint John.
Saint John is less than an hours drive from our home but I still don’t get there enough. To see Saint John at her best go to Discover Saint John
For you history buff, see old Saint John here
Old or new, I still think she is a beautiful city.

Ummm… Childhood memories. Our family from age 6 till maybe 10 spent a month in Saint John with my Grandmother in West Saint John every summer. Walks to Seaside park, down to the wharfs along the river, looking at Reversing Falls from her bathroom, trips to the Market and cold, fog and waiting for summer. Lucky us that my Grandfather from the other side had a cottage on the Kingston Peninsula near Westfield Ferry. The second month was spent there will the occasional trip up the Peninsula to Springfield to visit a cousin – Carl. That is how we met. Love the Market, King Square, love the memory but I know the cold damp weather is not in my bones. I loved up river at Westfield or Springfield even then. Good memories of the Maritimes. Some very special people I treasure to this day but Arizona is more in my blood.
We survived!
